Born and raised in Roseboro, North Carolina, Lakesha Owens is proof that faith, determination, and hard work can take you anywhere. She began her career in nursing with a passion for helping others, but her journey took a new direction—into the world of trucking. What started as a bold move soon became a lifelong purpose.
With over 20 years of experience behind the wheel and six years as the owner-operator of Brown Suga Express LLC, Lakesha has built a strong reputation for professionalism, integrity, and excellence. As Co-Founder of Elevation Trucking Academy LLC, she brings real-world experience, hands-on training, and genuine care to every student she mentors.
For Lakesha, trucking isn't just a career—it's a calling. Through Elevation Trucking Academy, she's helping others rise higher, one mile at a time.

With over 35 years of trucking experience, Arie Deadwiler is a true veteran of the road. Born with a passion for driving and a commitment to excellence, Arie has built a reputation rooted in hard work, consistency, and leadership.
Throughout his career, he's seen the trucking industry evolve—and he's evolved with it, mentoring countless drivers and helping shape the next generation of professionals. His hands-on experience and no-nonsense approach to teaching give students a real understanding of what it takes to succeed on and off the road.
As Co-Founder and Lead Instructor of Elevation Trucking Academy LLC, Arie's mission is simple: to equip students with the knowledge, confidence, and discipline to build lasting, successful careers in trucking.
